LAKE KLEIFARVATN, REYKAJANES, ICELAND.
need to know
ON A -11 DAY IN ICELAND
(I am well nesh! aka notoriously known for being cold)

Thermal socks
Wool socks
Waking boots

– With additional crampons if needed (I had the £10 ones from Go Outdoors which I found helped, more so due to confidence)
NOT cotton pants (Knickers)
– This was recommended to me once buy someone who worked at Jackwolfskin – They said the most important thing to being warm, is starting at the underwear, and wearing underwear that drys fast is key! And cotton holds in moisture! (don’t wear cotton socks under your thermal socks!)
Thermal leggings and top
– I bought expensive Oex ones from Go Outdoors
Volcom wool jumper
Occasional other hoody/fleece
CragHopper waterproof thermal lined trousers

– From Go Outdoors
Tresspass AT500 thermal fleeced hoodie
Regatta Sherlyn Waterproof Insulated Jacket
Thermal skin gloves
– which were crap!
My snowboarding mittens
Wooly hat
SNOOD!
– I love a good snood! no flaps to get in the way and stops the cold air down the back of your neck!!

*If I’d of worn my Jackwolfskin coat I may not of needed the extra jumpers/hoodies but the yellow coat looked better in photos!
