The Barn is owned by the Williams-Ellis family who are dependents of Owain ab Gwynedd one of the most famous Welsh kings.
It is located in Nant Gwynant valley, Eryri National Park (formerly Snowdonia National Park), North Wales and is just 3 miles as the crow flies from the top of Yr Wyddfa (Mt Snowdon).
The Three Eagles of Eyreri is their emblem.
the accommodation
4m or 5m glamping tents are available to hire on site for the whole weekend (Friday 2pm-Sunday 1pm).
The 4m is £200 and are suitable for couples or small families
The 5m is £250 and is suitable for larger families or groups.
This includes a good quality air bed, insulated flooring, rugs, bunting and fairy lights.
These prices do not include bedding but that can be added as an optional extra at £30 per set.
The bedding sets include a winter duvet, bottom sheet and pillows.
If you would like one of these please let us know via the R.S.V.P section or 2 months before the wedding date.

If staying on site you will have direct access to Llyn Gwynant Lake where boat / kayak / canoes / paddle board hire is available – alternatively you can take your own.
Wonderful hill walks, including 3 of the main routes up Snowdon which can also be accessed from here.
If you are planning to Climb Yr Wyddfa Snowdon during your stay - the routes up can range from between 11km and 14.5km (round trip) and can take anywhere between 4 to 7 hours to complete depending on fitness level, experience and weather conditions. Always research the route before you start, making sure that you have adequate fitness levels, and time for the climb ahead.

FAQ's
Do we have to come on the Friday?
No, the wedding is on the Saturday. But due to the distance, we thought it's a good excuse to make a weekend of it for those who can and want to.
dress code?
Formal wear with an edge. Get suited and (potentially muddy) booted (Doc martin and Vans go really well with a dress/suit, just saying!)
Also, please remember that we are getting married in Wales, on a hill, in a valley... so, unless you're Andy W bring ya big coat just in case.
are the children invited?
So you can have the best night possible, celebrating with us in style – we recommend/request that if possible – you leave the children with a sitter. There is also a lake nearby and we will be playing music with a lot of swear words.
However, if for whatever reason, the sitter falls through meaning you can no longer attend - do let us know as we may be able to pull some strings.
is it dog friendly?
Unfortunately not. Only immediate family dogs are allowed for part of the day. However, if you are turning this wedding extravaganza into a mini holiday, we can supply you with a list of local dog boarders/kennels that may have space for the weekend.
can I bring a plus one?
If it says ‘plus 1’ on you're invite than you can bring a guest. If it doesn‘t, then we’re sorry, but you can’t bring anyone due to capacity numbers. however, we may be in touch nearer the time to say this has changed due to last minute cancellations.
Can i have the glamping tent for just the saturday night?
Yes, but I'm afraid the cost won't change as the supplier will be erecting them on the Thursday so it will be empty and going to waste Friday.
can I share a glamping tent?
Yes! let us know at the time of R.S.V.P / at least 2 months before the wedding if you require a tent, who will be in it with you, and how many beds/bedding you will require and we can arrange this with the supplier for you.
I'M AN EVENING GUEST – CAN I STILL HAVE A GLAMPING TENT?
Yes, but as above, you will need to pay for the full weekend, and won't be able to arrive until Saturday 5pm (Party starts at 7pm).
I'M AN EVENING GUEST but planning on arriving early - is there anything in the local area i can do to pass the time?
Yes! in the 'local area' section of this site you will find links to lists/maps showing a few places of interest that you may pass on route, or that can be found a few minutes drive from the venue.

What’s that lame poem? – stuff it - no gifts please just turn up, this wedding malarkey is expensive so we'd hate for you to bail and your seat go to waste.
