BRADGATE PARK
It was our first time here - and we didn't get around to seeing all of it as didn't pay enough on the parking meter - this place is huge - 830 acres huge! Definitely going back again!

This a free roaming deer park, so it's advised to have dogs on leads. The landscape is pretty rugged under foot and the field can become quite boggy in places on bad weather days, so make sure you take your boots/wellies and a spare pair of shoes for the drive home. If you aren't steady on your feet, or for wheelchair/pushchair goers there is a large tarmac path that runs the lower length of the grounds.

There are two ruined buildings to see, Bradgate House and Old Johns Tower on opposite ends of the park. The views over the Leicester countryside is stunning when you reach the top of the hills.

There are three car parks. Parking prices are reasonable and we paid £4 for 3 hours. There are also public toilets, as well as a small Cafe for hot and cold food & drinks.
